SimOffice is powered by the industry-standard MD Nastran finite element solver which delivers robust and reliable analysis capabilities. The MD Nastran solver is also an integrated, multidiscipline solver that supports the needs of a variety of users such as design engineers, casual users, and expert analysts.
Intuitive Modeling Environment for the Design Engineer
The intuitive user interface of SimOffice is Windows-native and is modelled on Microsoft Office 2007. It makes it simple to mesh CAD-native geometry, apply loads and boundary conditions, run analyses, and evaluate the results of product simulations under real-world operating conditions.
SimOffice also includes the following core capabilities:
- Built-in connectivity to productivity tools such as MS Excel, enabling effortless linking of spreadsheet-based information tables, equations, plots, and graphs.

SimOffice is built on Microsoft Windows and Microsoft .NET enabled and is the first CAE environment certified ” Works with Vista”. SimOffice is also an enterprise scalable solution. While most simulations can be performed on the engineer's desktop computer, SimOffice's built-in compatibility with MSC Software SimEnterprise solutions also allow for large, computation-intensive simulations to be run using MD Nastran on high performance servers.
