@RISK for Project

Introduction

Works with Microsoft Project to facilitate model building and Risk Analysis.

The results that @RISK for Project generates can be used by project managers to help choose a course of action.

Replace uncertain values in your project with @RISK functions which represent a range of possible values. Select bottom-line fields like Finish Date, Project Duration, or Total Cost as outputs, and start a simulation. @RISK recalculates your project hundreds or even thousands of times, each time selecting random numbers from the @RISK functions you entered. The result: distributions of possible outcomes and the probabilities of getting those results. This not only tells you what could happen in a given situation, but how likely it is that it will happen. Sensitivity and Scenario analyses will help you identify critical situations that could seriously impact your project.
