Graphing Your Data

Origin Graphing

With Origin, it takes just two quick and easy steps to graph your data. Simply select the data to be graphed and click on the icon of the graph you want produced. If you need more control, Origin also offers an intuitive interface for plotting your data called the Plot Setup dialog.

Choose from a wide variety of 2D and 3D scientific graph types. These include simple Line and Scatter plots, advanced plots such as Vector plots, Polar charts, Smith charts, and Ternary plots, as well as 3D Color-mapped Surface plots, Contour plots, 3D Pie Charts and many more types of graphs.

Customising your graphs to create publication quality output is a snap with Origin. Simply double-click on the object you want to edit and alter its settings in an intuitive, user-friendly dialog. A comprehensive plot details dialog box provides you with access to all the properties of the graph and its data plots.

Create multi-panel, inset, and multiple axis graphs using Origin's unique layering capability.

Save time with Origin's graph templates. Create an unlimited number of custom graph templates. Once created, plot data into them using Origin's Template Library.

Link multiple layers (and axes between layers) so that scaling one layer automatically scales the other.

Showcase your graphs and results using Origin's Layout Page. Arrange multiple graphs, text, and worksheets on one layout page and customise their appearance to create a publication quality report. Presenting your final results has never been easier.

And, once you've completed your work in Origin, your graph and layout windows can be exported using one of Origin's 16 built-in graphics export formats. They are: AI, BMP, CGM, DXF, EMF, EPS, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PNG, TGA, PDF, PSD, TIF, XPM, XWD, WMF
