Data Desk 6.1 is now available to all Data Desk 6.0 customers via a downloadable updater. Data Desk 6.1 provides the following: A new utility that transfers data from an Excel file to Data Desk. This eliminates the step of creating an ASCII file. Parallel Coordinate Plots. Anew public interchange format file that will be supported by all future versions of Data Desk. This will allow files to be shared - both backward and forward - between all future versions of Data Desk, starting with Data Desk 6.1. Many new derived variable functions, including sort, append, and repeat cases. Bug fixes Click on the link above to download the updater, if your version of Data Desk is for Macintosh Power PC (PPC), and has a Mac creation date of May 21,1998, Double click the updater icon and then click the 'Update' button. A "Preparing to Install" message will appear. The installer will now search for Data Desk on your computer. This may take a few minutes. If the installer finds more than one Data Desk application it will prompt the user to select which application to update. If there is more than one folder with the name Data Desk, the installer will also prompt the user to select the appropriate folder to install additional updated files. Be sure to choose the folder that includes the application that you just updated. Follow the directions in the installer dialogs to complete the installation.
