28 January, 2003

RECOMMENDED UPDATES The Mathcad 11 Single-User Edition Cumulative Update 1 (program update)has just been announced by Mathsoft.

This cumulative update addresses a variety of issues that were identified by users or internal testing since the release of Mathcad 11. Specific changes include fixes for the following:

  • Calculation (convergence) error occurs when trying to differentiate an interpolated function.
  • Inaccurate computational results using the erfc function.
  • Inconsistent behavior and floating point error occurs using rlnorm function.
  • Solve block could return an error when the entire block is dragged to another area of the worksheet.
  • Mathcad closes without giving an error when APPENDPRN is used to append data in a nested array with a different number of columns than already exists in the file.
  • When using DAEs within an ODE solve block, the Stiff option should be selected.
  • Some local assignments within a program could return incorrect results.
  • While loop could return different results if using an intermediate variable as a subscript.
  • Saving a file to a location that does not have sufficient space does not correctly warn the user that the operation failed.
