Mathcad Software Integrated on WaveMaster Oscilloscopes to Provide Users Powerful Performance and Customisability

CAMBRIDGE, MA and CHESTNUT RIDGE, NY - November 21, 2002

Mathsoft Engineering & Education, Inc., and LeCroy Corporation (Nasdaq: LCRY) today announced the integration of Mathcad software with the WaveMaster series of oscilloscopes.

WaveMaster digital oscilloscope users will now be able to apply their own defined Mathcad algorithms directly to data as it is being collected. This ability to use customised Mathcad functions right in the oscilloscope eliminates the time-consuming step of transferring data and viewing it in a separate program. It also allows users with proprietary measurements to keep advanced algorithms in a secure environment.

"Design engineers using WaveMaster oscilloscopes now have the best of both worlds — the flexibility of Mathcad software and the power of the WaveMaster DSO" stated Larry Davis, LeCroy's vice president, marketing. LeCroy's proprietary X-Stream Technology allows acquired waveforms to be processed using Mathcad algorithms with extreme speed and the highest signal fidelity. X-Stream Technology was introduced with the launch of the WaveMaster DSO in March 2002, enabling data transfer and processing 10-100x faster than other oscilloscopes.
