KeyPoint v3.2 introduces improved & new survey design, analysis and distribution features

The new KeyPoint version 3.2 brings a range of new features and enhancements.

Improvements to survey design features

  • Auto alignment mode manages your question layout automatically, making the design process quick and easy.
  • Library of pre-defined answers for use in multi choice questions
  • Menu/List Box question type allows a web survey to have a mix of menu, list box and tick box multi choice questions.
  • Answers to right or below options increases layout options.
  • Default value option for questions means you could have a date question with a fixed value of today's date and this would never change when the response was edited.

Improvements to survey distribution and security

  • Web/email surveys can use a script on a Cambridge Software Publishing web server to email the response back to the users email mailbox. This means users have a reliable method of collecting responses to web/email surveys conducted over the Internet (respondents must have Internet access). This feature addresses the problem existing users have had trying to use the MailTo method.
  • Multi-Page web survey option, instead of having one long web survey you can now split it into multi-pages based on the current page size. Navigation button and a progress bar makes user navigation easy.
  • Password protect your web survey for increased security
  • Improved validation messages on web surveys.

Improvements to survey analysis and presentation features

  • Analyse question tables so users can now create tables and graphs based on all questions in a question table.
  • Save your survey results and presentations in HTML - publish them on the web! Users of surveyserver.net can also upload the results to their surveyerserver.net account.
  • Improved editing of graph objects for more effective presentation of survey results
  • Extra Quick analysis option allows 8 tables/graphs per page (something PinPoint users will appreciate)
  • New word-wrap feature improves the handling of long text questions in presentation tables.
  • Table and graph wizards have a new 'custom selection' option to choose which responses to use and saves switching to and from the analysis grid.
  • Table and graphs have a new 'filter' properties tab, which allows the responses used, to be changed without having to rerun the wizard.
  • Distribution tables now have a totals option.
  • 'With Other' answer options now included as one 'Other' option in tables and graphs.
  • Transpose table rows and columns.
  • Option to turn off a tables grid lines.
  • Answer sorting options for table's and graphs.

General improvements

  • Import .PNG picture files.
  • Replace words feature.
  • Improved construction of expressions with a new 'Answers' menu lists all the answers for multi-choice and ordered choice questions.
  • 'Save as' will default to the current file name rather than to 'My Survey'
  • Magnification levels are now 'remembered' for the different parts of the program.
  • Quicker and more robust.
